Hawk-Woods high draw battery is ideal for users looking to extend run time on higher powered lighting.
In tests, we found VMI’s modified Aputure Light Storm LS600D Pro* was able to achieve a staggering 1 hour and 20 minutes of run time at a sustained 100% brightness.
Extra high-performance contacts have been added, taking the load away from the existing two contacts, allowing more current to flow comfortably across four contacts.
LED lighting set-ups will benefit from the VL-350N with 350wh of power available which can potentially double your runtime compared to smaller V-Lok batteries available on the market.
Built in fuel gauge, thermal protection, short circuit protection, discharge and voltage protection are all still features.
Lastly the battery benefits from 1x Power-Con (D-Tap) output which provides nominal battery voltage.
These batteries are not flight safe as they are outside of the 100Wh-160Wh bracket
While the VL-350N’s are a perfect companion to any battery operated light system, due to the higher current draw we only advise using Aputure Light Storm LS600D Pro’s that have had the Hawk-Woods modified plate installed on the ballast. This custom plate has been designed to allow use of the two additional contacts on the High Performance range of Hawk-Woods batteries, distributing the load across more contacts, and reducing the risk of damage to the light or battery.
Use of an unmodified Aputure Light Storm LS600D Pro with the VL-350N’s may cause overheating and damage to the ballasts battery contact pins and the battery terminals due to the higher current draw.
